A few bits and pieces me and Eddie have been looking at. I tried to steer away from overly-designed pieces but a few have slipped in there; the main issue with this is that the only fishermen to buy a magazine that looks too designed would be the ones who also do graphic design. It's hard to find magazines that truly strike a balance between simply serving a purpose and looking extremely well designed.

Aesthetic research - fishing logos
Various fishing-related logos, just to get an idea of the kind of aesthetic systems used within this particular field. A lot of them retain quite an 'un-designed' kind of style; whether this is intentional or not I am not sure, perhaps it is more effective than a visual identity that has been carefully considered and thought out.
