Lesley Moore - Centraal Museum branding

Some cool infographic-style work by Lesley Moore studio for the Centraal Museum in Amsterdam. I don't understand it of course but I am enjoying everything else about it, but I suppose in order to fully appreciate it I would actually have to pay a trip to the museum itself to see it in its proper context.


    

    

Studio Makgill - Boxpark Branding

I've been keeping an eye out for any design work relating to Boxpark since I visited/bought a jumper there recently, the actual idea itself is the world's first 'pop-up' mall kind of thing, although it kind of sounds and looks better than it could potentially be; not that it's not good, I suppose it's just early days. I'm not so keen on this whole 'pop-up' tag that seems to be pretty popular right now either, I suppose it fits in with today's disposable nature which is kind of cool but also a shame at the same time. I can't see how temporary Boxpark is going to be anyway, seeing as it's built out of refurbished shipping containers, which don't seem so temporary once placed at the side of the street. Nice idea though, and the branding suits it well.

Numiko Design Agency

Numiko is a Leeds-based design agency specialising in web design, as their own website would indeed suggest....this is undoubtedly one of the more impressive websites I've seen recently, which comes with option to view in 3D if there are a pair of those red and blue glasses floating around anywhere. I don't have any so I couldn't experience this, but the way in which the site operates on levels and rotation was impressive enough....they also have a serious list of clients under their belt.
